Fresh install

Hi, I am the prowd owner of a sp3. I would like to try windows10 on a virtual machine for testing purposes.
If afterwords I find it suits my needs I would think about installing it in my sp3.
My question is: how can I get an original copy for testing it, since I am the owner of a valid 8.1 key?

P.s. also, anyone can suggest a tested method he used for backing up the whole sp3 disk prior to win10 upgrade/fresh install?

For Image/Backup use Macrium Reflect and Create their bootable USB recovery media. I used a 2GB USB stick for that but it only used 232MB on mine. It says size may vary somewhat. Id think a 500MB USB or larger would be safe.

The majority of Enterprise features you won't be able to use anyway so the real differences are minor.

The FREE Upgrade requires you Upgrade an existing installation there's no mechanism for supplying a previous version key. With that you could install your copy of 8.1 then upgrade it.

Just an fyi that your 8.1 key will not work on Windows 10.
