Check out Game dev. You start out in your garage and then try to work your way up in the gaming industry. There is a free lite version. To get past year 4 though you have to buy the full version. It is a great little game.

I've played a few games like that on other operating systems. Race story I believe was the name of the one I went the furthest in, you build a race team and try to win.

The game is awesome. People should try it. No I am not the one who developed either. I wished I was but I am not.
