Help Moving from iPhoto to SP3 and Adobe PS Elements 12

I've got an iPhoto library on my MacBook Pro at about 67gigs. I now primarily use the SP3 and just purchased Adobe Elements 12 for it. I used to use full Photoshop in college (10 plus years ago) and got really into editing but that quickly gave in to other h

So now I need some advice or tips when making this cross platform switch? Will the organizer be able to dissect my iPhoto library to a somewhat already sorted form?

Any other tips for a new Adobe PS Element user? Anything SP specific?
