Is this normal?

Is it normal for my Surface 3 to only last three years? It almost instandtly had issues after my warranty expired.
-will not charge while in use
-slow charging speed when shut down
-lagging and clicking randomly
-cannot click and drag on touch pad

I used it for school for 2.5 years, and found these issues occurred near the 2 year mark. It was really expensive, and now I am not sure if I can fix it or if I have to buy new I did do a soft reset and got rid of all additional programs and apps, I also have tons of storage.

The Surface Pro 3 had a lot of similar issues that were resolved with firmware/BIOS updates. Check Windows update and see if there are any firmware/BIOS updates available for your Surface Pro 3.

If its a Surface 3 (Non-Pro) then it may be something else causing the issue.
