MicrosoftStore.com - Surprise Back Order. How long have you had to wait?

So I ordered an i7 SP3 today via the MicrosoftStore.com. Only after I submitted the order did the site inform me that the machine was "BackOrdered." I was surprised and disappointed, because I think the store should clearly indicate that an item is out of stock prior to ordering.

For those of you who have been in a similar situation, how long did the order take to transition out of BackOrder status and actually ship?

Yeah I hate when shopping carts do that, not telling you until after you've added the item to your cart.

Did it process?

I ordered mine on November 3 and haven't heard anything. On the original receipt it said it would ship before December 18. It better.
