Surface pro screen goes black

i turn on the Surface pro, i sign-in using my pin.
When I click in ANY of the apps or in ANY of the buttons on the screen it goes black.
Then I click the power button and the whole cycle starts again: sign-in, ok, click on ANY button or app and... BLACK SCREEN.
I bought the Surface on early August 2017.

Sounds like a major issue... Try re-imaging the device maybe (in the emergency mode, or whatever it's called), and see if it helps.

Well... As this is my wife's tablet I had not a full info view. Which means that I later found out that it had not been updated for more than two weeks.
So, problem was solved as soon as I ran the latest updates.
