It looks like it was designed to be there, please don't pick at it. My SP3 has it as well, picking might cause other problems.

The key word was probe not pick, gently of course to determine whether it was solid or otherwise. Since you have confirmed that is not an uncommon occurrence, its a mute point.

In all fairness he did have a question mark, right? So he was just wondering, in any case I think we are beyond this now.

His question was answered, it indeed is not a design defect, but part of the design.

I will be closing this thread now.
